The Workshop Experience by Elizabeth Ivey
I have been to two workshops with Margaret [Johnson-Hodge.] The first was a day-long workshop for aspiring authors to learn techniques and exercises, and workshop their works-in-progress with each other and with Margaret, an Award Winning and National best-selling author. In this workshop I became confident in my own work and felt welcomed by all, despite the fact that we were all working on different genres.
The second workshop I attended with Margaret was a two-hour publishing intensive; tips, questions and answers, resources, and networking. I am now the proud author of 4 published stories, and I continue to build and polish my partial novels and new short pieces. I also have kept in touch with Margaret and consider her a friend as well as a mentor.
